Kasama Municipal Council on Saturday 9th August 2025 joined thousands of attendees in marking the grand finale of the Ukusefya pa Ng’wena traditional ceremony of the Bemba people, celebrated under the theme “Unity and Cultural Preservation.”
This year’s ceremony was graced by Chief Gawa Undi of the Chewa-speaking people, alongside several traditional leaders from across Zambia and neighbouring countries.
The Agriculture Minister, Hon. Ruben Mutolo Phiri, represented Republican President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, who was invited as the special guest.
Also in attendance were Cabinet and Provincial Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Opposition Leaders, and representatives from various public and private institutions, making this year’s event a truly colourful and memorable occasion.
