Kasama Municipal Council, through His Worship the Deputy Mayor, Hon. Felix K. Musonda, on Thursday, 25th December 2025 marked this year’s Christmas celebration with a heart-warming gesture by distributing Christmas hampers to 10 newborn babies across the district.
The babies were born between midnight and 08:00hrs on Christmas Day and were recorded in four health facilities within Kasama District. Seven of the newborns were delivered at Kasama General Hospital, while one baby each was recorded at Location Urban Clinic, Mulashi Clinic, and Mission Chilubula.
The initiative reflects the Council’s commitment to promoting compassion, community unity, and the true spirit of giving, especially during the festive season. By celebrating new life, the Council continues to strengthen bonds with residents and support families at meaningful moments.
